
Three people have reportedly been killed and a police officer stabbed during an incident in the city centre of Glasgow, Scotland.
Police Scotland confirmed a man had been shot dead by armed police during the incident on West George Street on Friday afternoon.
Video from the scene shows heavily-armed police storming a hotel.

Assistant Chief Constable Steve Johnson said six people had been taken to hospital for treatment to their injuries, including a police officer who is in a critical but stable condition.
"We are continuing to deal with the incident on West George Street, Glasgow and would ask people to avoid the area," he said.
"However, I would like to reassure the public that this is a contained incident and that the wider public is not at risk.
"I would like to reassure the public that at this time we are not looking for anyone else in relation to this incident."
Witnesses told the BBC they saw at least four people taken away by ambulances.
British Prime Minister Boris Johnson said he was "deeply saddened" by the incident and thanked emergency services.
